Pontiac Michigan, His next adventure was working at a dive scuba center on Big Pine Key Florida selling scuba trips and scuba gear eventually Working as a mate and dive master and finally a dive boat captain and scuba instructor on Catamaran dive boats at Multiple dive shops in the area this is where He earned the respect for multi hull vessels astonished at the stability and amazed at the fact that a 45 foot catamaran dive boat could carry 40 scuba divers and 80 scuba tanks with only twin 200 horsepower outboard engines through 3 to 5 foot choppy seas, His passion for houseboats began with the purchase of a small houseboat loving the fact that you could go out for days at a time with all the comforts of home but always disappointed the boat couldn’t navigate much more than  small Waves definitely not a ocean going boat that’s always been his dream to build a ocean going Houseboat combining the stability of a large catamaran with the comforts of a Houseboat, But not to stop there trying to come up with a concept of a boat that would Combine most activities The people would want with multiple boats but wrapped up in one boat.

His next adventure was opening a boat wiring and rigging company after 20 years of rigging and wiring boats and seeing every Bad design after another this was the fuel to design a vessel with the boat rigger and repair man in mind the experience he gained working on just about every boat out there gave him the experience to a design I superior boat made from the best materials, structural design and rigged to perfection.

He then bought a test boat to help with the final design even though this was not a ocean going boat it helped him with the design knowing where the boat needed to shine The Houseboat was taken out on average five days a week for three years testing and Altering the layout and design This was a very important step In designing the Honu Comfort Cat.
